Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced banking leader to drive strategic growth, executive engagement, and technology-led transformation opportunities across the United States. The role is suited to a senior professional who understands the banking business, has credibility with senior decision-makers, and can connect banks’ business priorities with technology-enabled solutions. Appointment level (VP or SVP) will depend on the candidate’s experience and scope.

We particularly welcome candidates currently working within banks who have experience in strategic client relationships, business growth, banking transformation or major initiatives across payments, transaction banking, cash management, liquidity, lending or core banking. Candidates from banking technology, consulting, and fintech may also be considered where their experience is relevant.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Growth & Market Development

• Identify and develop strategic growth opportunities with banks across the United States.
• Build account and opportunity strategies aligned with banks’ business priorities and transformation agendas.
• Develop relationships that support new opportunities as well as expansion within existing strategic accounts.

Executive Relationships & Strategic Engagement

• Build trusted relationships with senior banking executives and key decision-makers.
• Engage banking stakeholders in consultative discussions about business priorities, operational challenges and transformation plans.
• Develop a strong understanding of client organisations, decision processes and strategic initiatives.

Banking Solutions & Transformation

• Connect banking priorities with technology-enabled solutions across payments, transaction banking, cash management, liquidity, lending, core banking and digital transformation.
• Bring banking-domain knowledge and market insight to discussions about solution positioning and client value.
• Work with internal product, sales, consulting and delivery teams to shape relevant client propositions.

Commercial & Opportunity Leadership

• Develop and manage a pipeline of strategic banking opportunities.
• Contribute to commercial planning, forecasting, account growth and revenue objectives.
• Support complex pursuits, proposals, negotiations and longer-term transformation opportunities in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Internal Collaboration & Leadership

• Coordinate with regional and global teams across sales, product, consulting and delivery.
• Share market intelligence and client feedback to inform growth priorities and solution positioning.
• Where appropriate to the level and scope of the appointment, support the development of account and growth teams.

Ideal Background

• Experience: 15–25 years of relevant experience in banking, financial services, strategic business development, or technology-led transformation.
• Significant experience in banking or financial services, ideally with current or recent experience inside a bank.
• Strong understanding of one or more areas such as payments, transaction banking, cash management, liquidity, lending or core banking.
• Established relationships with senior banking stakeholders and the ability to engage credibly on business priorities and transformation.
• Experience in strategic relationships, business development, account growth, major banking initiatives or technology transformation.
• Strong commercial judgement, communication, influencing and stakeholder-management skills.
• Experience working with technology, consulting or fintech partners is valuable; direct banking-sector experience is particularly welcome.
